Make Your WordPress Site Faster with LiteSpeed Cache
Our servers run LiteSpeed Web Server, so every WordPress site on BitReveal can use LiteSpeed Cache: a free WordPress plugin that works hand in hand with the server.
Why use it
- Faster pages. The server keeps a ready copy of each page and sends it straight away, instead of running WordPress and the database again for every visitor.
- Fewer slowdowns. Your site uses much less processor power and memory, so it stays well within your plan's limits, even when more visitors come.
- Better for search engines and visitors. Fast sites rank better, and fewer visitors leave before the page has loaded.
- Free. The plugin and its page cache cost nothing on our hosting.
How to turn it on
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to Plugins → Add New, search for LiteSpeed Cache, then click Install Now and Activate.
- In the left menu, open LiteSpeed Cache → Cache and check that Enable Cache is ON. For most sites, that is all.
- Open your site in a private browser window. From the second visit on, pages load noticeably faster.
Good to know
- Use only one caching plugin. Deactivate any other one (for example WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache or WP Fastest Cache) before you turn on LiteSpeed Cache.
- When you edit a post or page, its cached copy is refreshed automatically. After bigger changes (theme, menus, widgets), click LiteSpeed Cache → Toolbox → Purge All.
- Shops and membership sites work too: shopping carts, checkout pages and logged-in visitors are not cached by default.
- The plugin also offers extras through QUIC.cloud, such as image optimisation and a CDN. They are optional and may need a QUIC.cloud account; the page cache works without them.
If your site still reaches its limits after this, a bigger plan gives it more power: log in to your BitReveal account, open your hosting and click Upgrade.
Thank you for your feedback.
Sorry about that :( We'll work to make it better.
